Bursary Fund
It is our aim to support people with low disposable incomes to attend our workshops. Where funds allow, the standard concession for men on low incomes is £100 off the cost of the workshop. For men on very low incomes further assistance may be available. Funds come from the Loving Men at New Year Silent Auction (see below) and additionally people have kindly donated to the fund. Thank-you all!!
Applying for Bursary Support If you would like to apply for help from the bursary fund please write a letter (address below) or email to: enquiries@lovingmen.org and let us know about your situation and why you need a bursary, or ring 07973 188280 for more information.
Make a Donation We welcome donations to the Bursary Fund, they really help us extend our work to people on low incomes. If you'd like to make a donation please send a cheque payable to Dennis Carney, to LM Bursary Fund, Top Flat, 8 Saltoun Rd, London. SW2 1EP.
The Silent Auction We ask people to donate items to be auctioned at the Loving Men at New Year Event (auctioned items included pictures, massages, career coaching etc). This year we raised over £1000, of which 75% went to the bursary fund and 25% will be donated to IGLYO, an international organisation bringing together LGBTQ youth. Next year we want to support a gay HIV organisation in India.
Facilitators Contribution The facilitators contribute 20% of all bursary awards. If £100 is awarded, the Bursary Fund contributes £80 and the facilitators contribute the remaining £20.
